YOUTH LEADER

 

Hi, I am Joey Hahne and have been serving with Grace Church in the capacity of Youth Leader since December of 2012. I previously served the Lord as a missionary to Romania where I worked with the youth, the poor, and all who God would bring across my path from 1996-2009. In 2010, I moved with my wife Mihaela, and daughter Katie back to California, and began working  as the office administrator of Grace Church. In 2014 our family grew with the birth of our son Ivan.

 

Though being raised in the church, I didn't know the greatness of the gospel til my late teenage years. I tried pleasing God through all my works; through all the kind things I could do for others. Even reading the Bible, and prayer were things that I formerly boasted in. But finally in catching vision of God's Holiness and my own failures, the redemption purchased by Christ's atoning death became my only boast. My life was radically changed as God humbled my spirit. I am forever grateful for God's sovereign care for His people and using all things to bring me to His feet. 

 

My early Christian experience was largely due to the fact that God placed me in a youth group that taught the Word. Sure we had fun and did crazy activities but the Word was the center, and it was the Word that gave me hope and a passion to live for His glory. To glorify and enjoy Him, is the chief end of my life.

 

Other things I enjoy are time with my family, baseball (yes, in that order), playing guitar/bass, photography and art, reading, and Clash Royale. 

 

I am blessed to serve the youth of Grace Church and covet your prayers as I bring the Word to them and live out the Gospel before them.
